Two women, both aged 69 but looking worlds apart. So why does Jane, who has spent £48,000 trying to look young, believe her grandmother Kitty actually had the right attitude to ageing?

Jane Ennis (right) has tried Botox, fillers, spa trips, facials and expensive creams to look young. Her grandmother Kitty Ennis (left), from Manchester, is pictured at the same age. Jane says: 'The bottom line is that Kitty Ennis was not worried about what people thought of her looks by the time she was my age, if ever. 


She believed, correctly, that people would like her because she was fun. I don't really want a face like my gran's or to give up caring about the way I look, but in many ways, I wish I could have been more like her.'
