Yuzah has announced a partnership with mobile network operator, Airtel Nigeria to launch its diesel delivery app.
Yuzah (pronounced as “user”) is a diesel delivery service that allows anyone in need of diesel to request for immediate delivery through their internet-enabled mobile devices to their location.
The app, which is currently available to Android users only, automatically detects a user’s location once installed and then shows all diesel trucks with a certain radius of the detected location. Products are delivered within 60 minutes once an order is accepted by a Yuzah-approved supplier.
Speaking of the development, Airtel Nigeria Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Maurice Newa said,
“Airtel has collaborated with Yuzah, one of the winners of Airtel Catapult-a-Startup competition, to offer Nigerians this unique service which will further enhance their access to diesel and address the inconveniences associated with the logistics involved in delivery.”
In February, Airtel Nigeria awarded NGN1 million (US$5,000) in prize money to Yuzah, and other startups in its first Catapult-a-Startup competition.
