Nigeria and Watford striker, Odion Ighalo, was on Friday named the English Premier League Player of the Month for December.
Ighalo beat Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil, Stoke’s Marko Arnautovic, Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez, Everton’s Romelu Lukaku and Dele Alli of Tottenham to win his first Premier League Player of the Month Award.
Watford manager Quique Sanchez Flores won the Premier League Manager of the Month award for leading the Hornets to amass 10 points in December with three wins, one draw and one loss and finishing 2015 in the ninth position on the log.
Flores’ side beat Norwich, Sunderland and Liverpool drew with Chelsea and lost 2-1 to Tottenham.
Ighalo scored five goals in the month, two of which were against Liverpool, and took his tally in the league to 13.
The club, happy with their achievement, congratulated Flores and Ighalo on Twitter.
