The pair were seen cycling throughout West London (top) in matching styles as they indulged in some much-needed down-time.

But while the father and son bonded, Madonna shared a scathing Instagram post, defending her parenting skills. 

The singer shared a sweet family snap on her page, showing the star cosying up with her four children Lourdes, Mercy, David and 15-year-old Rocco.

 The teenager and his mother are seated side by side in the snap (bottom), with Madonna including a thinly veiled message in the caption. 'Its possible to be an entertainer and a good mother!!!
