Is Dave trying just a little TOO hard to be cool? PM spotted in a pair of £300 Beats By Dre headphones usually seen on the likes of Cara Delevigne and Harry Styles

Prime Minister David Cameron was spotted wearing a pair of £300-plus Union Jack 'Beats By Dre' headphones (right) on a four-hour easyJet flight destined for Lanzarote last week. 

The ultra-cool Beats brand, designed by American hip-hop mogul Dr Dre, are usually seen on the likes of Cara Delevingne (top left), One Direction's Harry Styles (bottom left), Rita Ora and Rihanna. In other words, people much younger and trendier than our 49-year-old Prime Minister.

'It was hysterical,' said fellow passenger Wesley Grego, 37, of Sheringham, Norfolk. 'People kept double-taking. I found it hugely entertaining the whole way.'
