Thrifty blogger reveals how she got the lavish £10,000 wedding of her dreams on a £2,000 budget - with a dress in the sale, a £50 suit and a caked baked by her aunt
Thrifty bride Kayleigh Hughes, 29 from Grantham, tied the knot with her husband Dave in July 2015 on a budget of just £2,000. The flowers, wedding car, food and balloons were all either gifted or borrowed.
Clockwise from left: Kayleigh's wedding dress was down from £900 to £300 in the sale; she contributed just £5 towards the cake which was made by her aunt and mum, the sweet cart and sweets cost £80, the flowers were a gift from Dave's employers; and the food was paid for by the couple's family.
